Two Policemen Injured in Yet Another Attack on a Police Station in Imo

Two police officers are currently nursing their injuries they sustained after gunmen attacked the Mbieri divisional police headquarters on Wednesday night, April 7. Confirming the attack, the spokesperson of the state police command, Orlando Ikeokwu, said the gunmen stormed the police headquarters at about 10pm but the attack was successfully repelled by the police. He added that the two officers who sustained injuries during the attack are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital. One police officer has been confirmed dead after hoodlums attacked the Divisional Police Head quarters,  Isiala Mbano, in Imo state on Saturday, March 20 at about 6.30pm. A bomb planted in a bush at Aujirawa Alkali village in Gezawa LGA of Kano state has been deactivated by the police. The bomb which was found in the early hours of Friday March 19, was deactivated after the police was alerted. Doctor tests positive for Coronavirus in Bayelsa

An unnamed doctor has tested positive for Coronavirus in Bayelsa state. Governor Duoye Diri made the announcement during a meeting with members of Bayelsa state COVID-19 Task Force. The doctor who works at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Yenagoa was admitted at a private hospital before testing positive for the virus. The health official's travel history also showed that he entered the state after a trip to neighbouring Delta State. The private hospital he was admitted in has been shut down for decontamination. Ondo Discharges Five COVID-19 Patients

5 Coronavirus patients have been discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital in Ondo state after recovering from the disease. The state's Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo confirmed this in a statement. EFCC Returns $4,040 to Brazilian Victim of Internet Fraud

  Debora Moreira, a Brazilian victim of internet fraud, has acknowledged the receipt of the sum of $4,040 which was recovered on her behalf by the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC. Moreira lost the money to  Emmanuel Tope, a convicted fraudster,  in a romance scam. EFCC commenced investigation of the scam in March 2019 and successfully recovered the money,  prosecuted, and got the fraudster convicted. EFCC in a statement released said the proceeds of crime were remitted into the victim’s account with Bank Itau S/A, Rua Americo Brasiliense, through the Central Bank of Nigeria.

14 Coronavirus patients have been discharged from the isolation centers in Lagos state. The patients were discharged after testing negative twice for Coronavirus.
