Adamu Garba reacts to allegation of taking money from FG to develop his app

Former Presidential aspirant and businessman, Adamu Garba has reacted to allegation of taking money from FG to develop his app. Some news platforms had reported yesterday that the "federal government has for two years been funding IPI Solutions, a software engineering firm owned by Adamu Garba to produce Crowwe, a platform, that would help the government silence existing social media platforms in the country." The news platforms which claimed that the "app was largely unusable pushing Buhari, his administration officials and supporters to move to Indian platform Koo following their exit from Twitter earlier this month", also alleged that they have bank documents to support the claim. UEFA Clears air on Moving Euro 2020 semi-final, final from Wembley

UEFA has insisted it has no plans to replace Wembley as the stadium that will host the semi-finals and final of Euro 2020. This comes after Italian Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, called for the matches to be moved from the UK due to rising COVID-19 cases. There have also been rumours that UEFA could opt for Budapest, the capital of Hungary, if the UK government refuses to allow quarantine exemptions for visiting supporters and UEFA guests to attend the games. However, a UEFA spokesman said on Tuesday: “UEFA, the English FA and the English authorities are working closely together successfully to stage the semifinals and final of EURO in Wembley and there are no plans to change the venue for those games.” Wembley is scheduled to host the semi-finals on July 6 and 7 b...

Ten-man Wales Beaten by Italy but into last 16

Ten-man Wales sealed second spot in Group A and a place in the last 16 of Euro 2020, despite losing 1-0 to a much-changed Italy in Rome. Ethan Ampadu's straight red card on 55 minutes had sparked fears Switzerland - who beat Turkey 3-1 - could come up with the goal difference swing they needed to send Wales into the uncertainty of a third-place qualifying spot. But Rob Page's side battled hard in the heat of the Italian capital to set up a knockout clash with the runners-up of Group B in Amsterdam at 5pm next Saturday. Bernardeschi hit the woodwork with a free-kick just after half-time as Roberto Mancini's team showed their strength in depth, although Gareth Bale should have claimed a famous draw for his side when he wastefully volleyed over late on. Wales supporters will hop...

Intense Scotland Battle to Draw with Sluggish England

A fired-up Scotland side battled to a deserved 0-0 draw in an edgy, intriguing and thrilling renewal of their rivalry with England at a rain-soaked Wembley at Euro 2020 on Friday night. After losing to Czech Republic in their opener, Steve Clarke's side could not afford another slip-up and stormed into their second tournament meeting with England, rattling the confidence Gareth Southgate's team had built from their win over Croatia. It could have been even better for the visitors had Che Adams not passed up three good chances, Jordan Pickford brilliantly saved Stephen O'Donnell's volley, or Reece James not crucially headed away a Lyndon Dykes shot off the line. England hit the post in the first half, when John Stones should have done better with a header from a corner, but wer...

Why Lukaku Didn’t Flourish at Chelsea, Man United – Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has given reasons why Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku, did not hit the heights at Chelsea and Manchester United. The Portuguese believes the European Championships will give Lukaku the perfect stage to confirm his status as one of the world’s best strikers. Lukaku was briefly coached by Mourinho during his formative years at Chelsea before the Special One signed him for United in 2017. The 28-year-old amassed 113 goals in 252 Premier League appearances for four different clubs, having also represented West Brom and Everton. I just do not see him there. I really don’t. It is either internat...
