Former Ondo Varsity Lecturer Found Dead inside his car

A former lecturer in the Department of Earth Sciences, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba (AAUA) Akoko, Dr Olatunde Adegbuyi, has been found dead inside his car. A source, who spoke to The Nation, said the former lecturer was found dead by some persons outside the university premises on Tuesday, April 6. The deceased's car was found parked along Permanent sites street in Akungba, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State. The spokesman for the university, Victor Akinpelumi, who confirmed the death, said the institution sympathised with the family.

The father of the slain student of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State, Mr Ayuba Dansabe Bawa, has said that the death of his son will not deter him from sending his other children to school. 14 Persons Killed in Ghastly Auto Crash Along Lokoja-Obajana road

At least fourteen persons were killed in an accident along Lokoja-Obajana road in Kogi State on Wednesday afternoon, January 6. It was gathered that the accident involved a bus and a truck conveying cement from Obajana occurred at Old Akpata village. According to an eye witness account, the accident occurred as a result of dangerous overtaking by the driver of the bus that was heading to Kabba. The witness said all the passengers in that bus died. Meanwhile, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has sympathised with families of the victims. Atiku Reacts to Massacre of 30 People in Borno by Boko Haram

Former Presdential candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the killing of 30 people in an attack launched by Boko Haram insurgents in Auno Village, Borno State. In a tweet he shared, Atiku stated that Nigerians cannot afford to stay divided in the face of a common enemy. NYSC Confirms Abduction of Corps Member in Borno

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Monday confirmed the abduction of a male corps member, Abraham Amuta, by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno. The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that Borno State Coordinator, Mr Rabiu Aminu, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Maiduguri. Aminu disclosed that the corps member was abducted alongside a pastor with the Living Faith Church, simply identified as Oyeleke, in an attack coordinated by the insurgents against motorists on Maiduguri to Chibok road on April 10.
