Three occupants in the vehicle pictured above, escaped unhurt after a 40 feet tanker fell on their vehicle while they were commuting along the Ikorodu-Sagamu road on Monday, October 11. The occupants were said to have been smart enough to run out of the vehicle when they noticed the container was about to fall off the trailer carrying it.

Man Burnt to Death in Kwara Accident

A man was burnt to death in an accident involving four trailers and a petrol tanker in Kwara state. The accident happened at about 9:00 am on Monday, April 26, at Bode Saadu-Jebba expressway, Moro local government area of Kwara State. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the state Fire Service, Hasan Adekunle confirmed the incident and said the accident was caused by overspeeding by the drivers, resulting in a head-on collision. Tanker Explosion kills 10 Persons in Gombe

At least 10 people have been reportedly killed, after a petroleum tanker exploded at Bomala Bridge axis of Gombe, capital of Gombe. The incident which occurred early Saturday afternoon left several cars burnt. According to Daily Trust, the tanker, carrying petrol, collided with another truck, carrying bottle water along Gombe southern bypass. It was gathered that over 10 bodies burnt beyond recognition were evacuated from the scene by personnel of the Nigerian Red Cross Society. Death toll in Lagos Tanker Explosion Rises To Twelve

The death toll from the tanker explosion which occurred at the Otedola bridge in Lagos last week Thursday has risen to 12. The State Commissioner for Health, Jide Idris disclosed this to newsmen today July 2nd.   Idris said 10 bodies were recovered from the scene of the incident as opposed to the nine initially reported. He said the 10th body recovered was that of an infant, while two of the seven survivors of the inferno later died in the hospital. The commissioner added that other survivors are responding to treatment. 54 cars were burnt in the inferno.

An inferno on Tuesday engulfed Ondo filing station in Nkpor junction, Anambra state. According to our correspondence the inferno started around 4.30pm and razed the filing station till 9pm without any intervention by men of the fire service. We are yet to ascertain the cause if the inferno but an eye witness said it was disastrous though no life was lost in the inferno. Details soon

Have you wondered why there seems to be no bus going to Oshodi today especially for those living in Lagos? Well, according to news reaching us a tanker carrying premium motor spirit (PMS) failed brake and it exploded at Anthony village Lagos. The LASEMA were on ground to curtail the fire spreading, no lives was reported lost as at time of writing this report. See more pictures below..
