His videos generated outrage and people called for him to be apprehended since homosexuality is still outlawed in Nigeria. James has now released a statement apologizing. A medical doctor, Dr Samuel Nyityo Tagher, has died of Lassa fever in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja, has ordered the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to immediately release the international passport of the former governor of Rivers State Peter Odili. Odili had approached the court to challenge the seizure of his passport by the NIS. He was in the hospital for a few hours where he was treated and had different tests done before being released.
