Woman Dies of COVID-19 after Delivering Twins in Imo

A woman who recently delivered a set of twins has died from COVID19 in Imo state. Professor Maurice Iwu, Chairman of the Imo state COVID19 Taskforce, told newsmen today June 15, that the woman tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago and was admitted into the state Isolation center. He said she was delivered of a set of twins but after delivery, she died, leaving behind her babies who fortunately tested negative for the novel Coronavirus. Iwu warned residents of the state to stop believing and spreading rumors that the virus is not real. He advised them to ensure they take all precautionary measures to prevent themselves from contracting the virus. How Doctors Separated Twins Joined At The Head – After 50-Hour Surgery

Two-year-old twins joined at the head have undergone successful surgery at a British hospital to separate their skulls, brains and blood vessels, say doctors on Tuesday. The highly complex surgery involved multiple operations on Safa and Marwa Ullah, who were born in Pakistan in January 2017 with a condition known as ‘craniopagus’ in which the girls’ skulls and parts of their brains were joined and intertwined. Tragedy strikes as Ugandan water minister’s twins drown in pool

The twin sons of Uganda’s State Water Minister Ronald Kibuule have drowned in the family swimming pool. Both Kibuule and his wife, Fortunate, were away when the tragedy took place. The exact circumstances behind the drowning remain unclear because CCTV cameras were off although the children were in the care of two male minders, the Daily monitor reported. When Kibuule and his wife returned to their home in Mbalala, some 30 kilometres along the Kampala-Jinja highway, they were unable to speak to the media due to being overcome by emotion.
