Man Sentenced to 1 Year Imprisonment For Specializing in Defrauding Nigerians at ATM Points

Justice Bello Duwale of the Sokoto State High Court, Sokoto, has sentenced a fraudster, Bashar Umar Abdullahi (a.k.a Abdu Abdullahi and Bashir Abdullahi) to one year in jail without option of fine for stealing N15, 000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) from his victim via a fraudulent transfer at an ATM gallery. Police Arrest Accomplices of a Pastor who Allegedly Pays people N3,000 to Fake Miracles

Pastor who allegedly hires people to stage miracles aimed at defrauding unsuspecting members of his church, has been busted by the Lagos State Police. The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu who disclosed that the Pastor identified simply as Elijah is currently on the run, said  six people were arrested in connection with the fake miracles. The arrested suspects identified as Lawal Damilola (29), Makinde Folashade (49), Babayemi Joke (37), Precious Sunday (20), Victoria Emmanuel (42) and Gift Adams (42) aided Elijah in conducting fake miracles at Festac Town, Airport Road and Ikoyi. EFCC Arrests 8 Internet Fraudsters In Ibadan

Eight internet fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Ibadan, Oyo state. The suspects arrested by the EFCC include: Ojo Ayobami, Dayo Adedokun, Ojo Ayotunde, Ibidapo Ileriayo, Ibidapo Kolade, Adeniyi Gbenga, Aluko Idowu and Adeusi Olatunji. They were rounded up on February 8, 2019 following action on a series of intelligence reports. They are alleged to be involved in fraudulent activities ranging from love scam and other forms of internet fraud, through which they obtain money from unsuspecting victims. Three different models of exotic cars, laptop computers, telephones, international passports and several incriminating documents were recovered from them. They will soon be charged to court.
