Kidnapped corps members and 4 other Benue indigenes regain freedom

Two corps members who were kidnapped on their way to camp, alongside four other Benue indigenes kidnapped in Zamfara State, have regained their freedom. Jimin Geoffrey, the Social media aide to Governor Samuel Ortom, made this known in a statement released Wednesday morning, October 27. At least 888 people were killed in violent attacks carried out in various parts of Kaduna State in the last nine months. This was captured in a quarterly security report presented by the state government. The Police Command in Kaduna State says it has rescued six kidnap victims, along Barde/Keffi Road in Kafanchan Local Government Area (LGA), of the state. Gunmen Abduct Three of Obasanjo’s Staff

Three workers of former President Olusegun Obasanjo have been abducted by yet-to-be-identified gunmen at a village in Abeokuta, Ogun state, According to reports, the three workers including the Financial controller, group auditor and group store manager of the firm, Obasanjo Holdings, were riding in a Hilux vehicle when they were attacked by the gunmen who shot at their vehicle. They were later forced out of the vehicle and taken to an undisclosed destination. The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident and said efforts are being made to rescue the victims and arrest the culprits.

Insecurity: Kidnappers release Emir of Kajuru’s seven family members

Seven family members of the Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu have regained freedom. They regained their freedom on Wednesday night after spending two months in kidnappers’ den DAILY POST recalls that the monarch, and seven members of his family, were Kidnapped from his palace on July 11, 2021. The Police in Edo State, on Saturday confirmed the killing of one Mr Olajide Sowore, the younger brother of social activist, Mr Omoyele Sowore.
