One person has been killed after violence erupted during a community annual festival in Ughelli Kingdom in Delta State. Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu has disclosed that 41 of its offices have been attacked in 14 states since 2019. Youths Attack Delta local Council Chairman, cart away rifles

The Chairman of Ethiope West council area of Delta State, Oghenedoro Owoso was on Tuesday May 4 attacked by some youths in Mosogar. The Nation reported that the council chairman was trying to pacify the youths who were protesting an eight-year blackout in the community when things took a different turn.
