12-year-old Housemaid allegedly Thrown Out of the House by her Guardian for Returning home from School Minutes behind Schedule

12-year-old Precious Eze, pictured above, was allegedly thrown out of her guardian's home yesterday June 23 because she returned from school thirty minutes behind schedule. According to Anambra Broadcasting Network, Precious Eze was picked up as a house girl by the unidentified guardian only three weeks ago from her home town Ezzi, Ebonyi State. Precious who had cane marks on her body, told sad tales of alleged abuse by the woman in the few weeks she was with her. Precious was taken to the TV station by some residents of the state who found her wandering on the streets in Awka, the state capital.

A little boy identified as David has been rescued by the Child's Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. The boy was found wandering the streets at night on April 15 and brought to the CRARN children shelter. According to the NGO, the boy told them that he and his brother were abused and starved by their stepmother after their mother died while giving birth to twins. "He was roaming the streets in th wee hours of night around Ikot Afaha, Eket where CRARN is situated, even though he's from Ekpene Obo, Esit Eket. His name is David and he lost his mom who was the only parent he knew a few months while she was in labor with twin children," the NGO stated. Crying child found wandering alone on a deserted road in Bayelsa

A distraught little girl was found wandering alone on a deserted road between Onuebum and Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The girl, who identified herself as Jennifer Alex was spotted crying by a commercial tricycle driver on Thursday, March 18. According to Dienita Jackson Daniel, who posted the report on Facebook, the driver took the child to Otuoke but he couldn't locate her parents. The girl is currently at Ekeki Police Station.
