UCL: Look yourself in the mirror, you’ve forgotten about football – Durhan slams Simeone
Football pundit, Adrian Durham has slammed Diego Simeone, accusing the Atletico Madrid manager and his team of endangering opponents with ‘disgraceful’ tactics.
Durham called out the Argentine coach after Atletico’s Champions League exit to Manchester City on Wednesday.
The game descended into utter chaos, with clashes between players of both teams on and off the pitch.
Simeone’s Atletico Madrid side were defeated 1-0 on aggregate by Pep Guardiola’s side who progressed to the semi-final of this season’s competition.
Felipe was adjudged to have kicked out at Man City’s Phil Foden at the closing stage of the game and Stefan Savic also attempted to drag the England man from the pitch.
Savic also had Jack Grealish’s hair pulled after headbutting Raheem Sterling.
Felipe was sent off after receiving a second yellow card and this sparked a furious reaction from manager, Simeone on the touchline and the sparks flew during ten minutes of stoppage time.
Savic and Grealish clashed again in the tunnel after the full-time whistle, while Sime Vrsaljko looked intent on fighting the entire City squad.
