Why Liverpool won’t win title – Klopp reacts to Man City’s 2-2 draw with West Ham
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said they are not likely to win the title despite Manchester City’s 2-2 draw at West Ham on Sunday.
City’s dropped points at the London Stadium, means the Premier League champions are four points ahead of the Reds, who have one outstanding game.
Klopp’s men will have the chance to cut the lead at the top to just a single point if they beat Southampton on Tuesday.
However, with City at home to Aston Villa in their final match, Klopp is not expecting Pep Guardiola’s side to slip up again.
“Is there a big chance? I wouldn’t say so.
“I don’t know the last time City dropped points two games in a row and Villa have to play midweek. I don’t expect City to drop points there,” Klopp told a press conference today.
City have not dropped points in consecutive league games since December 2020, when they had to settle for successive draws against Manchester United and West Brom
